On Wednesday, there were between 12.30 and 15, the period of greatest concentration transit, various measurements of noise in different parts of the city.
The noise level was measured at the following locations:
- Plaza Rocha: 82 to 96 decibels
- 7 corner 51: between 83 and 97 decibels
- 7 Corner 53: 84 to 95 decibels.
- Bus Terminal: 93 to 98 decibels
- 11 Corner 40: 74 to 82 decibels
- 15 Corner 38 (See College of audiologists Regional La Plata): 73 to 80 decibels
In all cases, only very short periods of time approaching the levels recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Municipal Ordinance No. 7845 La Plata December 1991 establishing the zoning (residential, commercial and industrial) to be observed in different reference levels in noise generation for the morning hours, evening and night. Also establishes penalties for those exceeding 5 or 10 decibels in those established by law.
As explained by the Ecology Committee of the College of audiologists, Regional La Plata is set to 90 decibel maximum allowed indoors, 83 maximum for the vehicles (mobile sources of noise), 90 for passenger and 90 for motorcycles.
